Laura Lynn Campbell, 52, of Tall Timbers, MD died May 16, 2013 at MedStar St. Mary's Hospital in Leonardtown, MD.

Born July 27, 1960 at Misawa Air Force Base in Japan, she is the daughter of Richard Smart and Ruth Moyer Smart of Miami, FL.

Laura proudly served in the United States Navy as Cryptological Technician until her honorable discharge in October 1982. She married her beloved husband, Michael Campbell, on August 24, 1988 in Leonardtown, MD. Laura was employed as a store clerk at W.J. Dent and Sons in Tall Timbers, MD.

Her children were the center of her life. She supported them in everything they did; including all the sporting events, especially wrestling. Her greatest attributes were her selflessness and love for others. She enjoyed doing puzzles, scrapbooking, couponing, and traveling. She also greatly enjoyed taking walks along beaches; among her favorites was Deerfield Beach, FL.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Apollo Thomas of Oceanside, CA, Adam Campbell of Frederick, MD and Austin Campbell of Tall Timbers, MD; along with her brother, John Smart (Pam) of Dover, DE; and many extended family and friends.

Family will receive friends for Laura's Life Celebration on Thursday, May 23, 2013 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Brinsfield Funeral Home, P.A., 22955 Hollywood Road, Leonardtown, MD 20650. A prayer service will be conducted by Reverend Joe Orlando at 7 p.m. Interment will be private.
