Jean Marie Cafardi, 66, of White Plains, MD, died peacefully April 5, 2013 at MedStar Southern Maryland Hospital Center, Clinton, MD. Born June 6, 1946 in Washington, D.C. she is the daughter of Carroll Clayton Stone and Linda Louise Mullikin Stone.

Jean worked for 44 years as Director of Human Resources for Bresler & Reiner, Inc. of Rockville, MD. She loved shopping and fashion.

Jean is predeceased by her parents and brother, Charles C. Stone.

She is survived by her husband Mel Cafardi; daughter, Kim Bowes of White Plains, MD and sisters, Carolyn L. Cregier of Goshen, IN and Helen R. Gilliam of Thurmont, MD.

The family will receive friends for Jean's Life Celebration on Monday, April 8, 2013 from 2:00-4:00p.m. and 6:00-8:00p.m. at Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, P.A., 30195 Three Notch Rd., Charlotte Hall, MD 20622. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, April 9, 2013 at 11:30a.m. The Rev. James Chance will officiate. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Gardens, Waldorf, MD.
