Agnes Christine Scriber, 59, of Lexington Park, MD died December 2, 2007 at Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, DC.

Born November 16, 1948 in Dameron, MD, she was the daughter of the late Cora Elizabeth Gunn.

Christine attended St. Peter Claver Elementary School and Cardinal Gibbons High School in St. Inigoes, MD and was a majorette in the Drum and Bugle Corps. She was a lifetime, faithful and active member of St. Peter Claver Catholic Church, where, until her most recent illness, she could be found in her favorite pew. She was a member of the Women of the World (WOW). She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, and especially loved bingo and the slots. She went on many bus excursions to dinner theaters and plays. Christine retired in 2000 from government at the Naval Air Test Center, Patuxent River, MD after 32 years.

She is survived by two sons, James Leander Scriber and Terrell Anthony Scriber both of Lexington Park, MD, six grandchildren, four great grandchildren, three sisters, Betty Germany of Hyattsville, MD, Thelma A. Jones (Willie) of Clinton, MD, Elnora Marie Jackson (Anthony) of Ft. Washington, MD, four brothers, Joseph Eugene Watts of Washington, DC, James Bernard Gunn of Lexington Park, MD, William Aloysius Gunn (Patty) of Charlotte, NC, Thomas I. Gunn (Kim) of Lexington Park, MD, special cousins William and Regina Allen and Perry and Edith Evans and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar Scriber, a son, Terrence Scriber, a sister, Eunice Theresa Butler and a nephew Lionel Gunn.

The family will receive friends for Christine's Life Celebration on Friday, December 7, 2007 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. in St. Peter Claver Catholic Church, Ridge, MD. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. The Reverend Damian Shadwell will be the celebrant. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
