Ralph Sanford of Huntingtown, Maryland, passed away on March 27, 2013.

He was the loving husband of Nita Sanford and the devoted father of Joseph Sanford (Kim) and Christine Robertson (Brian). He was the grandfather of Seira Peek, Joseph Sanford, Jr., Ashleigh Sanford, Jacob Robertson, Mathew Robertson, Alayna Sanford and Nicholas Robertson. He was the brother of Loretta Horn.

Ralph was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Gladys Sanford and his sister, Barbara Rau.

Ralph was born in Washington, DC and raised in Suitland, Maryland.

He married Nita in February, 1980.

He worked for Verizon and retired in 2008.

Ralph was totally devoted to all his grandchildren. He enjoyed being outdoors and working in the yard. Going to car shows was a favorite past time along with his Corvettes. He was a 'die hard" Redskin fan and never missed a game.

Ralph was a very generous man with one of the biggest hearts around. He was always willing to help whoever needed him and everyone enjoyed his "wise guy" personality. He will be missed by so many people.
