Joseph Warren Jameson, Jr., "Warren", 85, of Bryantown, MD passed away at Civista Medical Center in La Plata, MD on March 17, 2013. He was born on April 26, 1927 in Washington, DC to the late Cleopatra (Hall) Jameson and the late Joseph Warren Jameson, Sr.
Warren was a life-long resident of Charles County and faithful member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. He was a farmer. He raised a variety of crops and livestock over the years. Because he spent his life working the land, many sought out his advice for their own crops or gardens. He was active in many church committees and community organizations, especially those centered in agriculture. Warren was committed to bringing cheer to the sick and spent a lot of time visiting friends and family that were home bound, in the Veteran's homes, nursing homes or hospital. He enjoyed time with family and friends, watching baseball, attending church dinners and enjoyed playing cards. He had a spirited sense of humor and a warm smile. In addition to his parents, Warren was predeceased by his beloved wife, Joan (Stonestreet) Jameson who passed in 2000; his brother, Jerome V. Jameson; and his sister, Gwendolyn Loven. Warren is survived by his children, Louis Jameson and Mary Bowling; son-in-law Scott Bowling; his grandchildren, Joseph and Jill Bowling; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Ethel and Warren Barrows; and sister-in-law, Anna Stonestreet. Family and friends will be received for Mr. Jameson's Life Celebration on Friday, March 22, 2013 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, with prayers beginning at 6:30 PM, with Deacon Burroughs, at Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, P.A., 30195 Three Notch Road, Charlotte Hall, MD 20622. There will be a Mass on Saturday, March 23, 2013 at 11:00 AM at St. Mary's Catholic Church of Bryantown, 13715 Notre Dame Place, Bryantown, MD 20617. Rev. Rory T. Conley will officiate. Interment will follow at the Church Cemetery in Bryantown, MD. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary's School, 13735 Notre Dame Place, Bryantown, MD 20617.
