Franklin Percy Turner, Sr. 67 of Lewis, Iowa passed away Friday, November 23rd, 2007 at the Omaha University of Nebraska.

Born February 1st, 1940 in Owings, MD he was the son of the late Joseph Percy Turner and Nellie Turner.

Franklin Turner Sr. was a life long farmer. He farmed in Maryland, Florida, Wisconsin and Iowa where he retired in Lewis, Iowa. He was a talented gardener, carpenter, and loving Father. His joy in life was being outside. He loved the card game Pitch and collecting antiques.

He is survived by 1 son, Franklin Percy Turner, Jr. of Prince Frederick, MD and 4 daughters, Jeannie Marie Kunkel of Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin, Susan Rebecca Sievert of Lusby, MD, Bonnie Jo Turner of Lusby, MD, Barbara Lee Patterson of Port Republic, Maryland, and 11 grandchildren. He is also survived by 2 sisters, Thelma Stallings of Owings, Maryland, and Ruth Caouette of Owings, Maryland.

Viewing was held Friday, November 30th from 2-4 and 7-9 at Rausch Funeral Home in Owings, MD. The service was Saturday, December 1st , 11:30 at Mt. Harmony Church.
