Elwin Darwin Davis, 87, of Mechanicsville, MD passed away at MedStar St. Mary's Hospital in Leonardtown, MD on February 20, 2013, after a brief illness. Born on September 26, 1925 in Clairmont, New Hampshire, he was the son of the late Darwin and Ellen Davis.

During WWII, he honorably served his country in the U.S. Navy. Later, Elwin became a superintendent with Davis Construction Company where he retired in 1986.

Elwin is survived by his loving wife, Nellie A. Davis of Mechanicsville, MD; sons: John Davis, Rick Davis and his wife, Heather from Montana; stepson and daughter in-law, William and Cindy Siko of Mechanicsville; sister, Carolyn and her husband Bob Francis of Florida; grandchildren, Michael Davis, Steven Siko, Todd Peeples, and Jennifer Loughrey and 11great-grandchildren, any other extended family and close friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: Mt. Zion United Methodist Church located at 27108 Mt. Zion Road, Mechanicsville, MD 20659, in honor of Mr. Davis.
