Dorothy Lucille Coomes of Waldorf, MD died on Thursday, February 14, 2013 at Genesis La Plata Center. She was 84 years old.

Mrs. Coomes was a waitress for 40 plus years at Howards Restaurant and Perkins Restaurant, both in Waldorf, MD. She loved cooking, gardening, flowers, and was an avid Redskins and Orioles fan.

Daughter of the late James Owens Pickeral and the late Bessie King Pickeral.

Predeceased by her parents; one late son-in-law: William Roberts; and two late sisters: Mable O'Conner and Evelyn Williams.

Survived by two daughters: Dorothy Roberts of Waldorf, MD and Patricia Robison of Indian Head, MD and three sisters: Emily Skotta of Brandywine, MD, Nancy (Eddie) Oliver of VA, and Margaret (Mike) Keeler of Waldorf, MD. Also survived by four grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and 2 great- great grandchildren.

Visitation: Tuesday, February 19, 2013 from 10AM until time of Funeral Service at 12PM at Raymond Funeral Chapel (5635 Washington Avenue, La Plata, MD 20646). Clergy: Rev. Aaron Rummage. Pallbearers: Derrek Windsor, William Windsor, James Windsor III, Chris Nelson, Joe Barrick, and Eddie Oliver. Interment: Tuesday, February 19, 2013 at 1PM at Trinity Memorial Gardens in Waldorf, MD.
