Larnie Layman Law of Waldorf, MD passed away after a brief illness on February 10, 2013 surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Law was born in 1932 in Draper, North Carolina and lived most of his youth in Cascade, Virginia. He had resided in Maryland since 1952.

In 1953, he married, and is survived by Helen M. (Hill) Law of St. Mary's County, MD.

He also leaves behind Ronald and Peggy Law, Steven Law and Susan Wolfe, Daniel Law and Gina Palladino, Mike and Patricia (Law) Grasso and Douglas Law and Natasha Sharpe, grandchildren- Chris, Erin, Stephanie, Ashlee, Brandon, Amy, Mark, Kristen, Cindy and Cara; great-grandchildren - Grace, Hannah, Mya and Alanna. He is also survived by siblings Jane (Law) Duckett, Troy Law and Nina (Law) Pendleton.

He was preceded in death by his infant son, Gary Keith Law, his parents Worthie Pannel Law and Ruth Washington (Johnston) Law, and siblings Marshall Law, Russell Law, Wash Law, Lillie (Law) Barnard, Kermit Law, Curtis Law, Ruth (Law) Setliff, George Law and Hazel (Law) Kirks.

Mr. Law was known by his family by the nicknames "Dooke" and "Gang Gang."
He served honorably in the Navy during the Korean War and retired from a long career at St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Washington, DC. He was actively involved in the VFW (Post 8810) in Waldorf, MD and had served in many capacities, including Post Commander.

In his spare time, he enjoyed spending time with family and friends and his pastimes included vegetable gardening, woodworking, fishing and watching sports.

Mr. Law's family would like to express deep gratitude to the staff at Fenwick Landing Senior Care Community for their kindness and care during their father's stay there.

Mr. Law's family will be receiving visitors at Huntt Funeral Home, Waldorf, MD on Thursday, February 14, 2013 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm. The funeral mass will be held at 1:00PM on Friday, February 15, 2013 at St. Peter's Catholic Church, Waldorf, MD, followed by interment at Trinity Memorial Gardens, Waldorf, MD.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of Charles County.
