Marjorie Alice Richards, 91, of Brandywine, MD passed away on January 29, 2013 at Southern Maryland Hospital Center in Clinton, MD. She was born on February 8, 1922 in Upper Marlboro, MD to the late Elizabeth Virginia (Boswell) Kidwell and the late Benjamin Howard Kidwell.

She was a member of the Moose Lodge and various Senior Citizen Groups. Prior to working in the school cafeterias for Prince George's County Public Schools, Marjorie was a housewife and raised 13 children. She enjoyed playing bingo, traveling, doing search-a-word books, spending time with her family and enjoyed her Saturday night card games.

In addition to her parents, Marjorie was predeceased by her beloved husband, Charles Edward Richards; 5 of her children, Mary Alice Atchison, Catherine Jones, Donald Richards, Gloria (Jean) Richards, and Charles (Sonny) Richards; and 1 of her grandchildren, Barbara Mobley.

Marjorie is survived by 8 of her children, Melvin Richards, Randy Richards, Doris Righter, Helen Richards, Debbie Hines, Mike Richards, Bob (Slim) Richards, and Connie Richards; 23 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren.

Family and friends will be received for Marjorie's Life Celebration on Sunday, February 3, 2013 from 2 PM to 4 PM & 6 PM to 8 PM, with prayers beginning at 7:00 PM at Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, P.A., 30195 Three Notch Road, Charlotte Hall, MD 20622. There will be a Mass on Monday, February 4, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Most Holy Rosary Church (St. Joseph Center), 11704 Duley Station Road, Upper Marlboro, MD 20772. Interment will immediately follow to Mt. Carmel Cemetery Old Marlboro Pike, Upper Marlboro, MD 20772.
