Young, Cecelia Lillian Queen (Age 69) of Malcolm, Maryland. Known as Miss or Aunt Ceil to many, was born June 24, 1943, in Mc Conchie, Maryland, to John William (Willie) Queen and Susie Savoy Queen.

Cecelia attended Charles County Public Schools. One of her greatest memories was receiving perfect attendance certificates during the years she walked to school. She married Wilbert (Leroy) Young in August of 1961 and from their union four children were born.

Cecelia was a domestic engineer. She was the neighborhood babysitter. She enjoyed taking care of children and treated them as if they were her own. She loved family gatherings, especially with her sisters, the Queen girls, playing cards and eating milk and cornbread. She also spent time traveling to places such as Las Vegas, Florida, Williamsburg, the Bahamas, and Dover.

Cecelia peacefully departed this life on Thursday, January 24, 2013, at her home in Malcolm, MD. She was preceded in death by her parents, her siblings, Wilberta, Annie, Louise, John, Catherine, and Isadora, and her youngest daughter, Melissa.

She leaves to celebrate her life her husband, Wilbert (Leroy); her children, Kenny (Vera Michelle), Cyndee (Phillip), and Tim (Jill); her sisters, Naomi, Dollie, Pauline, Delores, and June; her brothers-in-law, Reginald (Lebo), Billy, Tommy, Eddie, Joe, and sisters-in-law, Patricia, Doreen, Joyce, her seven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, her best friends, Esther and Florence, two special individuals who are like her own children, Joyce and Robert Lee, and a host of relatives and friends.

Viewing, 9am until time of Service, 11am, Friday, February 1, 2013 in the Chapel of Thornton Funeral Home, P.A., 3439 Livingston Road, Indian Head, Maryland. Interment, St. Catherine's Catholic Church Cemetery, Mc Conchie, Maryland.
