Bonnie Carr Estes, 86, of Dunkirk, MD died at home on January 21, 2013. She was born in Powellton, WV to the late Mont and Beulah Mayes Carr.

She had lived in Rainelle, WV before moving to Calvert County six years ago. She was a homemaker who enjoyed reading, needlecraft and cooking. She was a big Washington Nationals Fan.

Bonnie is survived by her sons, Johnny Bruce Estes and wife Glenda of Ringgold, GA and Dennis Estes and wife Diana of Buckhannon, WV; daughters, Irlanda Jones and husband Robert of Arnold, MD and Denise Bennett and husband Daniel of Dunkirk; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Her husband of 42 years, Johnny Estes, died in 1989.

The family will receive visitors on Saturday, January 26, 2013 from noon until 2 pm at Smathers Funeral Chapel, 1109 Main Street, Rainelle, WV 25962. Funeral services will begin at 2 pm. Rev. Kermit Hunter will officiate.
