![]() Robert Curtis Thompson, also known as (King Curtis) was born, February 1, 1947 in Charles County, Maryland to the late Robert Leo and Annie Cecilia Thompson.
Suddenly, on Monday, January 7, 2013, the Lord called Curtis home from this earthly life to eternal life. Curtis was educated in the Charles County Public Schools and attended Pomonkey High School. After high school Curtis moved to New York, where he was married and from that union two children were born. Curtis returned to Charles County to attend his brothers' home going services and decided to stay in the place he always called home. He had a passion for repairing and painting cars, which was his career of choice until he was called home. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Carl and Freddie and sister, Shirley Ann. Left behind to cherish his memory are his children, Tanya, Curtis, Jr. and Robert Corrington Thompson, grandchildren, sisters, Sandra T. Johnson and Treasa Carter; brothers, Aaron (Gloria), George (Elizabeth) and DeCarlo (Betty) and sister-in-law, Frances (Speedy) Thompson; aunts, Eleanor Smith, Bert and Josephine Thompson and special friends, Ferbee Riley and Antonio Gains, special cousin, Junior Savoy (Doc) and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
