![]() Leonardine Vianney "Lennie" Norris of Cobb Island, MD died on Monday, December 24, 2012 at Washington Hospital Center in Washington, DC. She was 66 years old.
Mrs. Norris was a homemaker and a member of Holy Ghost Catholic Church in Issue, MD. She was known as an unofficial volunteer with all things concerning family and her beloved Cobb Island, MD. She was recently named the Judge of the Annual Crab Tasting Contest and a past Grand Marshall (along with her husband) at Cobb Island days. She most enjoyed being with children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was known as the best wife, mother, and grandmother a family could have. Daughter of the late Roger Leonard Murphy, Sr. and the late Myrtle Valerie Moran Murphy. Predeceased by her parents. Survived by her husband of 49 years, Stephen N. Norris, Jr.; three sons, Stephen N. (Sherri) Norris III of Lusby, MD, Roger L. (Angelica) Norris of Issue, MD, and Christopher M. (Melanie Watrous) Norris of Cobb Island, MD; one daughter, Jacqueline M. Norris of Great Mills, MD; four brothers, Roger L. Murphy, Jr. of Newburg, MD, Joseph R. (Cathy) Murphy of Newburg, MD, David F. (Sarah) Murphy of Las Vegas, NV, and Benjamin T. (Eleanor) Murphy of Newburg, MD; two sisters, Mary L. (Donald) Estevez of Lexington Park, MD and Katherine M. Boarman of Charlotte Hall, MD; six grandchildren, Ernest Oliver, Clarence Richardson, Jessica Norris, Matthew Beckman, Alan Beckman, and David Beckman Jr.; and four great grandchildren, Bentley, Evan, Keyon, and Kamari. Visitation: Monday, December 31, 2012 from 8:30AM until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 10AM at Holy Ghost Catholic Church – Issue (15848 Rock Point Road, Newburg, MD 20664). Clergy: Fr. Greg Coan. Interment: Holy Ghost Church cemetery.
