Anastasia "Rita" Douglas of Waldorf, MD died on Tuesday, December 4, 2012 at her residence with Hospice.

Mrs. Douglas was a homemaker who loved gardening, cooking, bargain shopping, raising children, and being with her family.

Daughter of the late Joseph John Sterback and the late Elizabeth Emily Eagler Sterback. Predeceased by her parents.

Survived by her husband of 49 years, Joseph Henry Douglas; two sons, John J. (Carol) Douglas of Mechanicsville, MD and Robert M. Douglas of Mechanicsville, MD; two daughters, Jamie D. (John) Wetherald of Golden Beach, MD and Leann D. (Chip) Keech of La Plata, MD; one brother, Wm. Olan Sterback of Ritcheyville, PA; and three sisters, Betty Jane Sinchak of Monessen, PA, Patricia Rosensteel of Lusby, MD, and Margaret Sterback of Uniontown, PA. Also survived by 8 grandchildren.

Visitation: Monday, December 10, 2012 from 5-8PM with Prayers at 7PM at Raymond Funeral Chapel (5635 Washington Avenue, La Plata, MD 20646). Funeral Service: Tuesday, December 11, 2012 at 10AM at St. Paul's Episcopal Church "Piney Parish" in Waldorf, MD. Interment: Church cemetery.
