Interment Heritage Memorial Cemetery, Waldorf, Maryland. Burt L. Wilson, son of the late Leslie and Alethea Wilson was born in Kingston, Jamaica on July 13, 1949. He was the second of six children born to this union and was loved dearly by his parents and everyone who knew him. Burt was an extremely outgoing person. His smile would light up the room and he loved making people laugh. Burt was employed by Caravan Products for 30 years until he retired on disability. He was a dependable and dedicated employee. One of Burt's loves was entertaining at home. He would have barbeques several times a month during the summer inviting family, friends and the entire neighborhood. Burt would be manning the grill at one moment and the next spinning the records in his makeshift DJ booth. Good food and great music was always a guarantee at a Burt Wilson event. Burt was affectionately known to every UPS delivery man due to his very personal connection with QVC and the Home Shoppers Network. There wasn't a day that went by that Burt wasn't receiving some type of delivery. The love of Burt's life for the past 32 years has been Kathleen Wilson, more commonly referred to as his better half. Their relationship was one of love, care and commitment: and one that clearly shows us what it means to love unconditionally. In 2007, Burt came to live with "daughter" Vernette Trott-Barnes and her husband Andrew Barnes and grandson Vaughn Barnes in Waldorf, MD. As when Vernette was younger, Burt made each day a wonderful adventure of laughter, love and life. There he remained until he took his flight to meet the Master on Saturday afternoon, November 24, 2012. Left to share his memory and celebrate his life are wife, Kathleen, son Randall "Randy" , daughter Sasha, grandchildren Malissa and Zierra, brothers, Errol, Paul and David, sisters, Beverly and Audrey "Joy", and host of uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins godchildren and friends.
