David Gregory Hurley of Nanjemoy, MD died on Sunday, November 18, 2012. He was 52 years old.

Mr. Hurley was self-employed painter for over 30 years and was well-respected by his customers many of whom used his services for years. He enjoyed family gatherings immensely and loved planning crab feasts. He also planned many chartered fishing trips for family and friends for years.

He was a loving and devoted father. The relationship was more than father and son. Indeed, they were best friends. He had a quick wit and laughed easily. He was a teller of jokes and always kept the family entertained. He touched many lives and was loved and respected by all who knew him. He will be missed greatly.

Son of the late Harvey A. Hurley and the late Norma L. Buckbee Hurley.

Predeceased by his parents.

Survived by his son, David Jason Hurley of La Plata, MD; his brothers, Scott Hurley of Nanjemoy, Terry (Katherine) Hurley of Felton, DE; and his sisters, Bonnie (Ricky) Johnson of Marbury, and Linda (Tim) Cupps of Manassas, VA. Also survived by a host of nieces and nephews, including great nieces and nephews.

Visitation: Wednesday, November 28, 2012 from 9AM until Funeral Service at 12PM at Raymond Funeral Chapel (5635 Washington Avenue, La Plata, MD 20646). Clergy: Reverend Mark Roberson Interment: Nanjemoy Baptist Church Cemetery.
