Paul "Zack" Hill passed away surrounded by family at his home in Mechanicsville on November 20, 2012. Zack was born September 28, 1927 on a family farm in Chaptico, MD to the late Francis G. Hill and the late Myrtle L. Thompson Hill.

Zack went to school in a 2-room school house in Mechanicsville, MD. Zack graduated from Margaret Brent in 1946. He began his own family with Dorothy Christine Hill, whom he married on January 28, 1950. Zack and Christine were blessed with five children; Paul Z. Hill, Jr., and his wife Chris, Dale A. Hill and his wife Marcia, Adrian F. Hill and his wife Shelia, Margaret C. Beavan and Joan E. Bearden and her husband Mike. Zack enjoyed farming, hunting, skeet shooting, visiting friends and spending time with family.

In addition to his wife and children, he is also survived by ten grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Family will receive friends on Friday, November 23, 2012, from 4 to 8 pm at Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, P.A. 30195 Three Notch Road, Charlotte Hall, MD 20622. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, November 24, 2012 at 10:00 AM at Immaculate Conception Church, 28297 Old Village Road, Mechanicsville, MD 20659 with Father David G. Wells officiating. Interment will follow in Queen of Peace Cemetery, Helen, MD.

Pallbearers will be Johnny Beavan, Adrian F. Hill, Jr. Brian Beavan, Kevin Bearden, Adam Smith and Mike Hammond. Honorary Pallbearers will be Natalie Byrnes, Sarah Smith, Ashley Hammond, Amanda Bearden, Jessica Hill and Melissa Hill.

In lieu of flowers, those wishing to contribute may send donations to the Mechanicsville Volunteer Rescue Squad, Inc., P. O. Box 15 Mechanicsville, MD 20659.
