Ford, Michael Leonard "Mike" (Age 31) of La Plata, Maryland.

Michael Leonard Ford, more affectionately known as "Mike" suddenly departed this life on Wednesday, November 7, 2012, at the age of 31 in Ripley, Maryland.

He was born, March 5, 1981 in Prince George's County, Maryland to his parents, George "Buster" Louis Ford of Temple Hills, Maryland and Shirley Ann Uzzle McCants Ford of Austin Texas. Michael attended public schools in Prince George's and Charles County, Maryland. In 1999, he graduated from Monmouth Regional High School in Tinton Falls, New Jersey.

He was currently employed as a warehouse distributor operator for Safeway Stores.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his son, Tay'von Amir Ford of Howell, New Jersey ; two brothers, Walter L. McCants of Charlottesville, VA and Marquis G. McCants of Baltimore, MD; a sister, Kimberly A. McCants of Indian Head, MD; grandmother, Maude Uzzle of LaPlata, MD and a host of other relatives and friends.

His Viewing will be held on Saturday, November 17, 2012 in the Chapel of Thornton Funeral Home, P.A., 3439 Livingston Road, Indian Head, Maryland, from 10am until time of Service, 11am. His Interment will be in Heritage Memorial Cemetery in Waldorf, Maryland.
