Clarence Gwinn Adams, 79, of Drayden, MD died November 7, 2012 at the Hospice House of St. Mary's in Callaway, MD. Clarence was born on April 6, 1933 in Drayden, MD to Clarence and Gwinnette Adams.

A lifelong resident of Drayden, MD he was a self employed painter. He had many interests including gardening, playing pitch, fishing, crabbing, oystering and riding around in his boat on the St. Mary's River. A generous soul, he gave away most of his vegetables and seafood to his relatives and friends.

Clarence was also an avid dancer and when he had the chance to "sit it out or dance" he always chose to dance. He could regularly be found kicking up his heels and having a good time at local church socials, especially St. Francis Xavier in Compton, and also on Sunday afternoons at St. Mary's Landing.

Clarence is survived by his longtime companion Mary Bingaman of Callaway, MD as well as sisters Cecilia Guy of Hollywood, MD, Beulah Adams of Piney Point, MD, brothers Glenn Adams (Mary) of Falls Church, VA and Gary Adams of Drayden as well as 2 nieces and 3 nephews.

The family will receive friends at Mattingly Gardner Funeral Home on Saturday, November 10th from 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM with a servics following at 2:00 PM A private interment will follow at a later date.
