![]() Mrs. Parthree was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and member of First Baptist Church of St. Charles. She loved the Lord and her church where she was a charter member, pianist, and long-time choir member.
She spent her early years in Jasper, AL and treasured her southern roots. She moved to Alexandria, VA at the age of 12 and graduated from Mt. Vernon High School. She married her high school sweetheart and they settled their young family in Waldorf, MD in 1967. She was a secretary for 11 years in the Charles County public school system and also for the Department of the Defense for 30 years. She retired from NSWC in Indian Head, MD in 2003. She enjoyed playing the piano (at her church and for the residents at Morningside House), listening to and singing southern gospel music, tending to her yard, and traveling with the 2-N-1 Club. She was a loving and trusted friend to many and valued all of her friends from childhood, high school, neighbors, work, etc. She made friends easily and cared deeply for them all. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family, whom she loved more than anything. She is the daughter of the late Homer Holloway Vines and the late Myrtle Pamela Wallis Vines. She is predeceased by her parents and a late son, Gregory N. Parthree. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Donald C. Parthree; two daughters, Dawn R. (Bill) Nevitt of La Plata, MD and Cindy L. (Marty) Blass of Mechanicsville, MD; and five grandchildren, Bobby, Andy, Ethan, Jessica, and Kayla.
