John Noel Pritchard, 77, of Charlotte Hall, MD, passed away at Civista Medical Center in La Plata, MD on October 28, 2012. He moved from Prince George's County, Maryland prior to becoming a resident at Charlotte Hall Veterans Home. John was born in Washington, DC on May 10, 1935. He is predeceased by his parents and his wife, Gloria Jean (Markell) Pritchard.

He served in the Military with the United States Marine Corps from May 13, 1952 until May 12, 1955. Later John worked for Amtrak as a Red Cap Agent, where he handled and assisted customers with baggage service. He retired from Amtrak after working there for 36 years. John was a Washington Redskins Fan and enjoyed playing the lottery.

John is survived by his stepdaughter, Teddy Newton and her husband, Robbie of Mechanicsville, MD; 3 grandchildren; and his brothers, Paul Pritchard and Wayne Pritchard.

All arrangements are being handled by Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, P.A., 30195 Three Notch Road, Charlotte Hall, MD 20622. There will be a Committal Service, at a later date, at Maryland Veterans Cemetery in Cheltenham, MD.
