Georgiann Wetherald of La Plata, MD died on October 19, 2012 at Calvert Hospice House in Prince Frederick, MD. She was 80 years old.

Mrs. Wetherald was a retired office manager with Alarm Smith Co. for 20 plus years and of the Catholic faith. She loved family gatherings, especially with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Daughter of the late John Walter Smith, Sr. and the late Ruth Frances Robinson Smith.

Predeceased by her parents.

Survived by six sons, Gary (Virginia) Wetherald of FL, Richard (Sally) Wetherald of NC, Michael (Christy) Wetherald of Prince Frederick, MD, Mark Wetherald of Waldorf, MD, John (Jamie) Wetherald of Mechanicsville, MD, and Kevin (Margaret) Wetherald of Mechanicsville, MD; one daughter, Sue (Joe) Bowie of Nanjemoy, MD; three brothers, Walter (Olga) Smith of FL, Jim (Cathy) Smith of FL, and Harry (Elaine) Smith of FL. Also survived by 19 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

Visitation: Tuesday, October 23, 2012 from 9AM until time of Funeral Service at 11AM at Raymond Funeral Chapel (5635 Washington Avenue, La Plata, MD 20646). Clergy: Fr. Robert Kosty. Interment: Ft. Lincoln Cemetery (3401 Bladensburg Road, Brentwood, MD 20722). Pallbearers: her sons.
