Mrs. Hamilton was a homemaker and a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Waldorf, MD. She was a Charles County resident for 101 years. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, crocheting, embroidery, and reading. She most enjoyed being with family.

She is the Daughter of the late William Murdock Hodges and the late Mae Gertrude Hardy Hodges. Also predeceased by her late husband, James Otis Hamilton; two late brothers, Maurice and James Hodges; and one late sister, Georgia Rae Hill.

She is survived by three sons, James Laurie (Peggy) Hamilton of La Plata, MD, William Donald (Mary) Hamilton of Mechanicsville, MD, and Bobby Otis (Page) Hamilton of TX; and one daughter, Shirley Woolard of Waldorf, MD. Also survived by nine grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.

Her Visitation will be on Thursday, October 18, 2012 from 9AM-10:30AM at Raymond Funeral Chapel (5635 Washington Avenue, La Plata, MD 20646). Her Funeral Service will be on Thursday, October 18, 2012 at 11AM at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Waldorf, MD. Clergy will be Rev. Joy Rose. Her Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Gardens in Waldorf, MD. Kevin, Jonathan, Chuck, and Robbie Hamilton, Mike Windsor, and John Scholten, Jr. will serve as pallbearers.
