Elizabeth "Betty" Ann Watson of Waldorf, MD died on Saturday, October 6, 2012 at Prince George's Hospital in Cheverly, MD. She was 73 years old.

Betty Ann was a devoted wife, mother, and sister and a retired postal employee. She was a lifelong member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Bryantown, MD where she attended Mass daily; served as an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion; treasurer of the Catholic Daughters of America; and member of the Traditional Choir, Golden Angels, and St. Mary's Notre Dame High School Alumni Association. She was a volunteer for Civista's Hospital Auxiliary and the Clark Senior Center where she was also a member of the Silver Tones and Show Troupe. She was a member of the Red Hat Sensations and a past volunteer for Meals on Wheels.

She enjoyed traveling, reading, cooking, walking, gardening, baseball, playing cards and games with her family, sports with her grandchildren, and crossword puzzles. She was devoted to her family (especially Sunday dinners) and church. She was always helping others – she didn't know the word "no" when someone needed help. She touched the lives and hearts of everyone who was fortunate enough to know her.

Daughter of the late Philip Daniel Epp and the late Bertha Mary Therres Epp. Predeceased by her parents; her late brothers Raymond S. Epp, Edmond A. Epp, and Phillip D. Epp; her late sisters Marylou Adams and Agnes "Dolly" Epp; and a great-grandchild Kyle M. Sams.

Survived by her devoted and loving husband of 54 years Henry Gibbons Watson; two sons Jeffrey H. (Julie) Watson of Cape Coral, FL and Philip W. (Cindy) Watson of Brandywine, MD; four daughters Lynn M. (Gary) Fox of Brandywine, MD, Karen E. (Paul) Rustin, Jr. of Waldorf, MD, Lisa A. Cushenette of Brandywine, MD, and Jill T. (Colin) Warring of Brandywine, MD; two sisters Delores A. Moran of Edgewater, MD and Rosalie C. Epp of Waldorf, MD; 20 grandchildren; and 15 great- grandchildren. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

Visitation: Thursday, October 11, 2012 from 2-4PM and 6- 8PM with a Wake Service at 7PM at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Bryantown, MD. Mass of Christian Burial: Friday, October 12, 2012 at 11AM at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Bryantown, MD. Clergy: Fr. Rory Conley and Msgr. Oliver McGready. Interment: Church Cemetery. Pallbearers: Rusty Sams, Keith Sams, Anthony Cushenette, Joshua Cushenette, Brandon Sams, and Tyler Wilkerson Honorary Pallbearer: Stevie Sams.
