Rena Elsie Fallin, 96, of Port Tobacco, MD, passed away at Genesis Health Care in La Plata, Maryland on October 3, 2012. She was born on February 14, 1916 in Green Cove, Virginia to the late Will Walls and Delillah Hurley.

Rena was the most hospitable "Mom" to all who knew her. She was prize-winning gardener, canner and homemaker. Rena was very active in the Baptist church. She also was Worthy Matron in the eastern Star Electa chapter in Washington, DC.

In addition to her parents, Rena was predeceased by her husband of over 50 years, Wayland Fallin.

Rena is survived by her sons: Wayne W. Fallin (Georgia), Lothian, Md.; William Fallin (Kathie), Newburg, Md.; Roger D. Fallin (Donna), LaPlata, Md.; Creig Fallin (Julie), White Plains, Md.; daughters: Barbara Miller (Dave), Albuquerque, NM and Patricia S. Wagner (Ray), Waldorf, Md.; and her sister: Beatrice Barr. She also leaves eighteen grandchildren, and nineteen great-grandchildren to cherish her memories.

Family and friends will be received on Friday, October 5, 2012, from 2-4 PM and 6-8PM at Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, P.A., 30195 Three Notch Road, Charlotte Hall, MD 20622. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, October 6, 2012, 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church of La Plata, 9070 Hawthorne Road, MD 20646. Rev. Wendell Stokes will officiate. Interment will immediately follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery, 4111 Pennsylvania Avenue, Suitland, MD 20746.

Pallbearers will be sons: Wayne, William, Roger and Creig Fallin; grandsons: Roger Jr. and Jason Fallin.
