Robert Bernard Norris, Sr., 73, of Hollywood, MD died September 30, 2006 in St. Mary's Hospital, Leonardtown, MD.

Born June 17, 1933 in Leonardtown, MD, he was the son of the late William Richley Norris and Mary Catherine Abell Norris. Mr. Norris had worked for the State Highway Administration as an equipment operator retiring on June 30, 1995. He was a farmer, a wonderful Dad and a good provider. He was a member of St. John Francis Regis Catholic Church in Hollywood, MD.

He is survived by his wife, Helen Gertrude Clarke Norris, whom he married on December 27, 1952 in St. John's Church, four daughters; Mary Helen Norris of Hollywood, MD, Rose Marie Miller of Mechanicsville, MD, Patricia Ann Norris and Saraha Jean Norris both of Hollywood, MD, a son, Robert Bernard Norris, Jr. of Hollywood, MD, eight grandchildren, three great grandchildren, two sisters; Catherine Delores Wheeler and Elizabeth Jean Guy both of Hollywood, MD, five brothers; William Richley Norris, Jr., John Abel Norris, Charles Joseph Norris all of Hollywood, MD, Philip Norbert Norris of LaPlata, MD and George Franklin Norris of Mechanicsville, MD. Mr. Norris was preceded in death by a son, Manning Joseph Norris in September, 1976.

The family received friends on Tuesday, October 3, 2006 in the Brinsfield Funeral Home, P.A. in Leonardtown, MD. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, October 4, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. in St. John Francis Regis Catholic Church, Hollywood, MD. The Reverend Raymond Schmidt will be the celebrant. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be Brandon Norris, Chris Ledman, Daryl Thompson, Mike Norris, Ryan Dean and Paul Norris. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Amy Norris, Ashleigh Norris, Brian Norris, Robbie Norris, Lisa Ledman, Kelly Norris and Melissa Norris.
