Sean Foley Somerville, 26, of Hollywood, MD died tragically September 29, 2007 in Hollywood, MD.

Born February 17, 1981 in Leonardtown, MD, he was the son of James Foley Somerville, Jr. of Hollywood, MD and Debra Anita (Carter) Somerville of Mechanicsville, MD.

Sean was educated through the St. Mary's County Public School system. He attended Banneker Elementary School, Leonardtown Middle School and graduated from Chopticon High School in 1999. He was later employed by Choice Home Center, Inc., where he learned how to craft wood railings and install flooring in new homes. He also owned and operated Advance Auto Detailing. On December 16, 2004, Sean married the love of his life, Elizabeth Garnet Emes. He was blessed with three beautiful daughters. Sean truly loved his family and friends. He was a "people person and made friends wherever he went". He enjoyed life and was a free spirit that possessed a giving personality that will be truly missed. It has been a blessing hearing all the positive comments from so many of his closest friends.

Sean's favorite restaurant was Capt. Leonard's Seafood, where he dined weekly. In fact, he just had dinner with his two brothers, Cory and Brandon right before his death. He was an avid New York Giants fan and he constantly teased his mother because she was a Washington Redskins fan. When the Giants and Redskins had their last game, he tormented his mother and Uncle John because his favorite team beat the Redskins. His special interests included spending precious time with his wife, daughters, and family, restoring vehicles for re-sale, going to the racetrack, hanging out with his homeboys and riding his motorcycle. Sean was a person that was all about family.

In addition to his parents, he leaves to cherish his fond memories his devoted wife, Elizabeth (Lizzy) Somerville, three daughters, Kalandra Elizabeth Collins, Kamryn Anita-Marie Somerville, and Seantel Seanyce Somerville, all of Hollywood, MD, grandparents, Ella and Lawrence Somerville and Sarah Ann Loretta Somerville, great-grandparents, Agnes Geneieve Carter and Mary Susie Somerville, siblings, Cory DeVonne Somerville of Great Mills, MD, Felicia Nicole Barnes and Brandon Maurice Somerville, both of Mechanicsville, MD, father and mother-in-law, Gregory Newberry and Julie Mills, sisters-in-law, Akeya Somerville and Rosa Newberry, brothers-in-law, Roland Barnes, Sr., Ian Emes, Jerome Newberry and Gregory Newberry, Jr., aunts, Donna Maddox, Linda Somerville, Maxine Somerville, Darlene Jones-Dorsey (Jimmy) and Wanda Davis (Albert), uncles, John Maddox, James Carter, Jr. (Carla), Roland Carter (Regina), Brian Carter, Michael Somerville, Larry Somerville (Quanda), Marvin Somerville (Dalphine), nieces and nephews, Alexis, Taleigha, Logan and Eden Somerville, Nasir and R.J. Barnes, special cousin, Ashley Maddox, and a host of great aunts and uncles, extended family, friends, and loved ones.

Sean is preceded in death by his aunt and uncle, who were also his Godparents, Phyllis and Francis (Preacher) Somerville, grandparents, James Gantt Carter, Sr. and James Foley (Link) Somerville, Sr., great-grandparents, Joseph Walter Carter, Sr., Ella Mignonette Swales-Barnes and Raymond Barnes.

The family will receive friends Friday, October 5, 2007 from 5-8:00 p.m. in Gospel Tabernacle of Prayer, Clements, MD.
