Gerry "Butch" Neil McKinney, 59 of Mechanicsville, MD, died on October 7, 2007.

Mr. McKinney was born on October 25, 1947 in Mississippi to the late Robert N. and Loretta G. Lake McKinney.

Gerry was a painter for Rosecroft Raceway in Oxon Hill, MD. He grew up in Congress Heights where he enjoyed playing music with his father. He lived in White Plains, MD for 23 years with his family. Gerry was known as the "Junkman" on the CB. He enjoyed tractors plus riding his motorcycle, gardening, lying in bed eating candy and watching TV, but most of all spending time with family and friends.

Mr. McKinney is survived by his wife Margaret "Peggy" Rowell McKinney, his children, Troy McKinney, (Donna), Tammy Crocker, (Allen), Terry McKinney, (Jake Beagle), brother Roger McKinney, (Patty), sister Carol Ann Fincham, (Gene), his grandchildren, Danielle Crocker, Josh Crocker, Jacob Beagle, Caitlyn McKinney, Lauren Seman and Jordan Crocker. In addition to his parents Mr. McKinney was preceded in death by his sister Janice McKinney.

Viewing will be held on Saturday, October 13, 2007 from 2 to 4 pm in the Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, P.A., Charlotte Hall, MD where a Funeral Service will be conducted at 4pm. Interment will be private.
