On Friday, September 7, 2012, Ms. Corrinne Denise Edwards of Waldorf, MD suddenly left this life for one eternal at the Fort Washington Hospital Center, Fort Washington, MD.

Corrinne, who was more affectionately known as Denise, was the daughter of Cora and Joseph Edwards, She was born in Antigua, West Indies on November 9, 1970. Denise attended All Saints Secondary School where she graduated in 1987.

Denise was a Cosmetologist by trade and was very focused on her business. She always sought to expand her knowledge of the business. She attended Dudley Beauty College and graduated in 2000. She became a Cosmetology Instructor for Dudley Beauty College, Golden Scissors, Bennett Career Institute and the University of the District of Columbia. She also was an Assistant to the Designer at Studio Theatre and Arena Stage; worked with the "running crew" at the Fords Theater in Washington, D.C. and was a member of the local hair crew at the Kennedy Center.

One of the most memorable accomplishment that Denise achieved, was going on National Tour with the cast of "Dream Girls" as an Assistant to the Supervisor of Hair and Make-up. Her knowledge and skill regarding her craft extended to her position with Milady – Cenage Learning as an Author, "Natural Braiding" and also Editor. In 2009, she became self –employed at GQ Hair Salon and remained there until her death.

In addition to hair, she also enjoyed attending the theatre, and listening to music especially Gospel, R&B, and Jazz. Denise always had a positive outlook on life. She was very friendly, known to be a giver and had a sincere heart. She was outspoken but also deeply religious. Her family was very proud of her achievements especially since they were accomplished in such a short time frame.

Denise also enjoyed spending time with her family especially at barbeques, graduations, Thanksgiving and Christmas. Family and friends had the most influence on her life. She always had a smile for you and words of encouragement. She was fun loving, with a big hearty laugh and was always the life of the party. If she had words for future generations, they would be "stay focused on your goals and dream big!"
