Mr. Zanko was a waterman and owner of the Blue Dog Saloon & Crab Shack. He was also a partner of Oscar's Store in Welcome. He did a lot of charity work, especially with Melwood and Toys for Tots. He loved his work.

He was the son of Peter Edward Zanko and Brittania Lucille Dodd.
