![]() Gloria M. DelBrocco, 90 of Waldorf, Maryland died August 7, 2012 at Genesis Waldorf Center in Waldorf, Maryland. Born June 23, 1922 in Greensburg, PA. She was the daughter of the late Charles Tierno and late Philomena Pepe.
Gloria was devoted to her passion for cooking, serving most of her life as an Italian pastry chef to those lucky enough to enjoy her delicious creations. Her greatest joy came in sharing boxes of her famous homemade cookies and preparing years of traditional Italian Christmas Eve dinners with dozens of family and friends and the occasional stranger or two. McDonalds in Charlotte Hall was well known for their breakfast sandwiches from 1985 - 1992, as Gloria "the biscuit lady" made the biscuits from scratch each morning. She was a member of American Veteran Auxiliary Unit 17 and served as MD Dept. of State Historian in 1985 and Commander in 1987. Gloria lived a life filled with faith, love and generosity. She will be missed. Beloved mother and grandmother, Gloria is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Andrea and James Buczek ,and grandchildren, Denise Buczek, Kristin Buczek, Carole Logue, and Vince Buczek, and two great-grandchildren: Kayla and Taylor Logue. Gloria was predeceased by her husband, Louis DelBrocco; her parents, and her sister, Celestine (Sally) Petrella. Family and friends will be received for Gloria's Life Celebration on Wednesday, August 15, 2012 from 6-8 PM at Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, P.A., 30195 Three Notch Rd., Charlotte Hall, MD 20622, with Prayers at 6:30 P.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Mary's Church Bryantown 13715 Notre Dame Place Bryantown, MD 20617 on Thursday, August 16, 2012 , at 11:00 a.m. followed by Interment at Maryland Veteran's Cemetery, 1301 Crain highway, Cheltenham, Maryland 20623 at 1:00 PM.
