Robert H. Taylor, Sr., 92, of Nanjemoy, MD died on August 6, 2012 at his residence. Robert was born on August 17, 1919 to the late Ray Taylor and Edith H. Taylor.

He is also predeceased by his Son; Robert H. Taylor, Jr. Brothers; Raymond H. Taylor, John H. Taylor, and James H. Taylor.

Robert is survived by his wife; Margie H. Taylor, Daughters; Beverly Guercio, Linda Wood, Karen Hanson, and Kathy Smith (Edward), and his Daughter-in-Law Tiffany Taylor. He is also survived Grandchildren; Jesse, Taylor, Melissa, and Ryan Guercio, Tressa Hazel, Dillon Davis, Austin and Madison Taylor, Deven Wightman, and Makayla Hazel. Great-Grandchildren; Nathan Cornog, and Nevaeh Hazel.

Robert had retired from the Navy as a Chief Gunners mate. He enjoyed gardening, collecting coins, stamps, and traveling. Robert was also a member of the American Legion Post 82-La Plata, as well at the Potomac Heights Leisure Club.

The family will receive friends on Friday August 10th from 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 pm at the Arehart-Echols Funeral Home, 211 St. Mary's Ave., La Plata, MD. 20646. A funeral service will be held at 11 am on Saturday August 11th at the funeral home. Rev. Jeanne Parr will officiate. Interment to follow at the Trinity Memorial Gardens in Waldorf, MD.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice of Charles County or the American Legion Post #82 in La Plata.
