Faith Stewart Posey, 88, of Indian Head, MD passed away at her home on July 31, 2012. She was 88 years old. Born February 2, 1924, in Marbury, MD, she was the daughter of the late Rosser and Bertie Mitchell.

Faith worked for the federal government in addition to co-owning and operating several businesses with her first husband, the late Aubrey Posey. She was active in her church, Grace Baptist, in Bryans Road, MD. She lived in Sunrise Beach, MO with her second husband, the late Clarence N. Posey, before relocating back to Charles County.

She was preceded in death by five siblings.

She is survived by her sons, Terry and his wife Rosalie of Hagerstown; Donald and his wife Joan of Indian Head, and daughter Cherie Massey and her husband Joseph of Hughesville. In addition, she is survived by her stepson James and his wife Margaret of Winchester, TN. Grandchildren include the late Frederick Posey, Laura Posey, Melissa Talcott, Amy Howard, Megan Green and three step grandchildren. Great-grandchildren are Abigail and Bryan Talcott and two step great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be on Sunday, August 5, 2012 from 5PM-8PM, at Raymond Funeral Chapel (5635 Washington Avenue, La Plata, MD 20646). Funeral services will be on Monday, August 6, 2012 at 10AM, at Raymond Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow at Park Hill Cemetery in Marbury, MD.
