Barbara Ann Salpeck of Waldorf, MD died on Saturday, July 14, 2012 at Civista Medical Center in La Plata, MD. She was 72 years old. Daughter of the late Joseph Gargiulo and the late Ethel Mae Rodda Gargiulo.

Mrs. Salpeck was a homemaker and a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Bryantown, MD. In her earlier years she retired from FDIC as an administrative assistant where she completed her government career and later worked as a secretary for a dance school for 10 years. Her world revolved around being with family and grand kids.

Predeceased by her parents.

Survived by her husband of 51 years John F. Salpeck, Sr.; one son John F. "Buddy" (Dawn) Salpeck, Jr., of NC; two daughters Dawn A. (Scott) McGuire of Mechanicsville, MD and Jacqueline (Michael) Cassidy of Waldorf, MD; two brothers Joseph (Marilyn) Gargiulo and William (Virginia) Gargiulo both of Pittsburg, PA; and one sister Patricia Davidson of Pittsburgh, PA. Also survived by 8 grandchildren.

Visitation: Monday, July 23, 2012 from 2-4PM and 6-8PM with Wake Service at 7PM at Raymond Funeral Chapel (5635 Washington Avenue, La Plata, MD 20646). Mass of Christian Burial: Tuesday, July 24, 2012 at 10AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church (201 St. Mary's Avenue, La Plata, MD 20646). Clergy: Fr. John Reutemann. Interment: MD Veterans Cemetery in Cheltenham, MD.
