Mary "Regina" O'Malley of Indian Head, MD died on Tuesday, June 26, 2012 at Charles County Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in La Plata, MD. She was 97 years old. Daughter of the late Joseph Edward Carpenter and the late Ruth Edmonia Cooksey Carpenter.

Mrs. O'Malley was a telephone operator for 38 years with C&P Telephone Company and a member of St. Mary's Star of the Sea Catholic Church in Indian Head, MD.

She loved playing Bingo and vacationing in Ocean City, MD. She especially loved being with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Predeceased by her parents; her husband Emmett J. O'Malley; one son, Thomas E. O'Malley, and sisters, Marguerite Cox, Catherine Echols, Clara Carpenter, Hazel Wright, and Frances Carter.

Survived by her daughter Lynne R. (Edward) Alsop of Silver Spring, MD and two sisters, Josephine Riley of Indian Head, MD and Theresa Conner of Waldorf, MD. Also survived by six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Funeral Service and Interment: Private.
