Alma Almeda Wallace of La Plata, MD died on Thursday, July 5, 2012 at Civista Medical Center in La Plata, MD. She was 86 years old. Daughter of the late Dorel Griggs and the late Almeda Holzapfel Griggs.

Mrs. Wallace was a homemaker and married to Elmer Wallace on November 7, 1946 (married 65 years). She loved to decorate her home, both on the interior and exterior and was loved by family and friends and will be sorely missed.

Predeceased by her parents.

Survived by her husband of 65 years Elmer E. Wallace; two daughters, Sandra Palmer and companion Gary Raum of Sunderland, MD and Linda Hitchcock of Baltimore, MD; two grandsons Robert E. (Joanne) Palmer and Charles Trotter; three great granddaughters.

Visitation: Friday, July 20, 2012 from 2-4PM and 6-8PM at Raymond Funeral Chapel (5635 Washington Avenue, La Plata, MD 20646). Graveside Service: Saturday, July 21, 2012 at 1PM at Southern Memorial Gardens in Dunkirk, MD. (Funeral procession leaving Raymond Funeral Service at 12 noon). Clergy: Rev. Ben Rye.
