Bernard A. Burch, Sr. of White Plains, Maryland, died on Friday, July 6, 2012 at Holy Cross Hospital in Silver Spring, MD. He was 73 years old. Born on September 17, 1938 in St. Mary's County, he was the son of the late John Ecton Burch and the late Kathleen Emma Morgan Burch.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Burch was preceded in death by his brothers, the late Theodore Burch and the late Leo Burch.

He is survived by his wife, Alma I Burch; sons Bernard A. Burch Jr. and Daniel W. Burch; sisters Josephine Taylor, Mae Goldsmith, Jennie Lynch and Pearl Joy; his brothers Leslie Burch, Carroll Burch, David Burch and Bobby Burch; four grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation on Friday, July 13, 2012 from 10AM until 12Noon at the Raymond Funeral Service, P.A., 5635 Washington Avenue, La Plata, MD 20646. Service on Friday, July 13, 2012 beginning at 12Noon at the Raymond Funeral Service, P.A., 5635 Washington Avenue, La Plata, MD 20646 with the Reverend Mark Roberson officiating. Interment to follow at Oakland Cemetery in Waldorf, MD.
