William Edward Boone of Bryantown, Maryland died on Friday, August 3, 2007 at the Civista Medical Center in La Plata, Maryland. He was 76 years old.
Born on February 7, 1931 in Bryantown, Md., he was the son of the late Rebekah C. and William K. Boone. He served in the U. S. Army. He was a Trooper for the Maryland State Police and during his tenure with the MSP, Mr. Boone was a K-9 Officer. He retired from the MSP and then became the Chief of Police for the Town of La Plata. He served there for a number of years. He then served the Calvert County Court House in Prince Frederick, Maryland as a Bailiff. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police and St. Dominic's Catholic Church in Aquasco, Md. In his spare time, Mr. Boone enjoyed gardening. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife Martha Forbes Boone. He is survived by his daughter Martha F. Worrell and her husband Peter of Waldorf, Md.; grandchildren Rebekah E. Worrell and William P. Worrell both of Waldorf, Md.; sister Louise Turner of La Plata, Md.; brothers Charles Boone and Richard Boone, both of Bryantown, Md. Visitation on Wednesday, August 8, 2007 from 5PM to 8PM at the Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, P. A. 30195 Three Notch Road Charlotte Hall, Md. Mass of the Resurrection will be offered on Thursday, August 9, 2007 at the St. Dominic Catholic Church, 22300 Aquasco Road in Aquasco, Md. at 10AM with Father Louis Faust officiating. Interment to follow in the church cemetery.
