Pauline Layfield Winters 79 of Waldorf, Md. died on June 25, 2012 at her home. She was born on May 22, 1933 in Delmar, Delaware to the late William and Lilly Layfield. She is also predeceased by her husband John T. Winters, Sr.

She is survived by his sons John T. Winters, Jr. of Arlington, VA. and William R. Winters and his wife Cindy of LaPlata, Md., brothers William and Clark Layfield, sisters Agnes Truitt and Ruth Hoover, grandchildren Danielle Mayfield, Kelly Ashliman, Brooke Winters and Jamie Smith, she is also survived by her great-grandchildren Mackenzie Ashliman, Bryanna Ashliman and Halie Ashliman.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday July 3rd from 11am to 1pm at the Arehart-Echols Funeral Home, La Plata, Md. with a service at 2pm at the Maryland Veterans Cemetery, Cheltenham, Md.
