William Edward Young, 79, of Chaptico, Maryland, peacefully passed away on June 14, 2012 at Georgetown University Hospital, Washington, D.C.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, June 27 from 9:30 am until Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 am at Our Lady of the Wayside Church, 37575 Chaptico Road, Chaptico, MD. 20621. Interment to follow at Queen of Peace Cemetery, 38888 Dr. Johnson Road, Helen, MD.

William is survived by his wife of 55 years, Vera E. Young; three daughters, Letitia Bing, Sheila Young and Carolyn Young; son-in-law, Haskel Bing; four sisters, Shirley Jasper, Regina Frederick, Audrey Somerville and Alice Wilson; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; and best friends William Martin and Edelin Gough.

He was preceded in death by his parents John A. Young and Mary Catherine Barnes Young; brothers John, James, and Joseph Young; sisters, Veronica Briscoe, Mary Teresa Plater and Catherine May.
