Emily Rebecca "Beck" Farr Latham, 87, of Leonardtown, MD., passed away in Callaway, MD., on June 20, 2012. Born on December 7, 1924 she was the daughter of the late William Parran and Martha Eleanor Davis Farr.

Emily was the loving wife of Charles Zachariah Latham, Sr., whom she married in Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Bushwood, MD., on October 1, 1950. He preceded her in death on December 9, 2010.

Emily is survived by her daughter Susan Emily Hill (Mike) of Hollywood, MD., Grandchildren: William M Hill, Jr., Amanda, Mary Rebecca Bowser (Jim) both of Hollywood, MD., Charles Z. Latham, III, (Tracy) of Park Hall, MD., and Brent Lawrence Latham of Mechanicsville, MD.

Mrs. Latham is preceded in death by her son Charles (Charlie) Z. Latham, Jr., and siblings: Joseph L Farr, William L. Farr, Eleanor Mae Guy, Dorothy Springer, Lucretia Yowaiski, and Martha Ann Lacey.

Emily attended Margaret Brent School and was a lifelong resident of St. Mary's County.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 21, 2012 from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM with prayers recited at 7:00 PM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home, Leonardtown, MD. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, June 22, 2012 at 10:00 AM In St. Aloysius Catholic Church Leonardtown, MD with Father John Dakes officiating. Interment will follow in St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery, Morganza, MD. Pallbearers will be Jay Farr, Ronnie Guy, Wayne Guy, Carl Guy, Eddie Springer, and Warren Farr.
