Ms. Riley was a lifelong resident of Southern Maryland. She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Pomfret. She enjoyed shopping with her daughters, playing cards with her children, and casino slots. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

She was the daughter of Alexander Adams and Mary Ruth Thompson Adams.
