William J. "Buck" Morris, 81, of Prince Frederick, Md. passed away on August 4, 2007 at his home.

Born December 10,1925 in Greene County, Va. to the late Alfred and Louise Shifflett Morris. Buck served in the Army from 1945 to 1948. He received the WWH Victory Medal and the Army of Occupation Medal. He then entered into the National Guard as a Reserve of the Army until 1956, He was a carpenter by trade. Working in the construction business until his retirement.

Beloved husband of the late Elizabeth A. Morris, he is survived by his sister in law, Josephine Schuster of Lothian, 44 nieces and nephews and many other relatives.

The family received friend at the Rausch Funeral Home, 4405 Broomes Island Road, Port Republic, MD on Tuesday Aug. 7th from 2-4 and 6-8 PM where services were held on Wed. Aug. 8, 2007 at 11 AM. Interment followed in Asbury Cemetery, Barstow, Md. Pallbearers were Ronnie Morris, Wayne Morris, Mike Morris, Robert Lee Shifflett, Roy Shifflett, and Charles Shifflett.
