![]() John Anthony "Tony" Dyson of Waldorf, Maryland, departed this life suddenly and entered into eternal rest on Thursday, May 24, 2012 at Southern Maryland Hospital Center in Clinton, MD. He was 43 years old. Born on August 14, 1968 in La Plata, Maryland, he is the son of Sandra Renee Dyson of Nanjemoy, MD and John Andrew Hawkins of Baltimore, MD.
He was educated in the Charles County Public School System, graduating from Lackey High School. Mr. Dyson touched many lives over his 25 plus years working at Southern Maryland Hospital Center, where he was the Head Chef. He accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior and he loved singing gospel songs and praising his God. Mr. Dyson will be remembered as being a very humble and friendly person. In addition to parents, Mr. Dyson leaves to cherish his memories, his son Tavon Jamarr Taylor of Waldorf, MD; his fiancee Lina Marie Wilkerson of Waldorf, MD; his step-father James Brown Jr.; his sisters Fonya Schree Webb of Marlow Heights, MD, Tomika Jemece Hawkins of Baltimore, MD, Kita Deale of Marlow Heights, MD; his brothers Gerald Dyson and his wife Mary of La Plata, MD, James Leroy Brown and his wife Tracie of Port Tobacco, MD, John A. Hawkins of Marlow Heights, MD; his eight grandchildren; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation on Saturday, June 2, 2012 from 9:30AM to 11:30AM at the Raymond Funeral Service, P.A. 5635 Washington Avenue La Plata, MD 20646. Funeral Service on Saturday, June 2, 2012 beginning at 11:30AM at the Raymond Funeral Service, P.A. 5635 Washington Avenue La Plata, MD 20646 with the Reverend Francis Ford to officiate. Interment to follow at Heritage Memorial Cemetery 13472 Poplar Hill Road Waldorf, MD 20601.
