Paul William Bowers, 66, of Charlotte Hall, MD, died May 24, 2012 at his residence. Born November 30, 1945 in Portsmouth, Virginia, he was the son of John Bowers and Charlotte Kropp Bowers.

Paul was the manager of Southern States Co-op, Charlotte Hall Service. He loved farming, cats, horses and NASCAR, especially driver #88, Dale Earnhardt, Jr. He was a member of the Maryland Farm Bureau, the Anne Arundel Farm Bureau, Charles County Soil Conservation, Southern States Co-op, the American Quarter Horse Association, 4-H All Stars and Moose Lodge in Glen Burnie, MD. He was also a member of the Peace Lutheran Church in Waldorf, MD.

Predeceased by his parents, he is survived by his wife, Gloria J. "McCauley" Bowers; daughters, Lisa Martin (Eric), Charlotte Ragsdale (Michael) and Lisa Messenger; brothers, John Bowers and Martin Bowers (Amy); sister, Christine Hutto (Edward) and six grandchildren, Clay, Cole and Logan Martin and Colin, Morgan and Grayson Ragsdale and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends for Paul's Life Celebration on Tuesday, May 29, 2012 from 2;00 - 4:00p.m. and 6:00 - 8:00p.m. at the Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, P.A., 30195 Three Notch Rd.., Charlotte Hall, MD 20622. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, May 30, 2012 at 11:00a.m. at the Peace Lutheran Church, 401 Smallwood Dr., Waldorf, MD 20602. Pastor Craig Endicott will officiate. Interment will follow at the Glen Haven Memorial Cemetery, 709 Ritchie Highway, Glen Burnie, MD.
