Eugene Carlton Grimes, Jr., 76, of Aquasco, MD died May 24, 2012 at Southern Maryland Hospital Center, Clinton, MD. Born April 24, 1936 in Aquasco, MD, he was the son of late Eugene Carlton Grimes, Sr. and late Mary Goldsmith Grimes.

Mr. Grimes was the owner and operator of Grimes Market in Aquasco. The store was his life's work. He also enjoyed farming and gardening.

Eugene is survived by his wife, Barbara Ann Hayden Grimes; children, Richard E. Grimes; wife, Violet and Deborah Boling; late husband, Phillip; sister, Ozello Ann Ehrhardt; husband, Jerry and nephews, Michael, Mark and Matthew Ehrhardt.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 31, 2012 from 9:00 - 10:00a.m. followed by a service at 10:00a.m. at Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, P.A., 30195 Three Notch Rd., Charlotte Hall, MD. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Gardens, Waldorf, MD. Pallbearers will be Michael, Mark and Matthew Ehrhardt, DeSales Farmer, Richard Canter, Jr., Larry Canter and Rusty Cooper.
