William Joseph Kirk Jr. of White Plains, MD and Myrtle Beach, SC, died on May 17, 2012 in White Plains. He was 81 years old. Affectionately known as "Bill" and "Poppy", Mr. Kirk was born on September 3, 1930 in Washington, DC. He was the son of the late Margaret Isabelle Putnam and the late William Joseph Kirk Sr.
Mr. Kirk worked for PEPCO with over 39 years before retiring as a High Voltage Dispatcher. He also worked as a bartender at the Moose Lodge in White Plains. Bill enjoyed wood working in his garage, playing jokes and doing magic. He mostly enjoyed being with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Catherine E. Kirk; his daughter Peggy Berkeley and her husband Mike; his sons William Kirk and his wife Becky, Michael Kirk and his wife Colleen, Steve Kirk and his wife Wendy; his sister Dorothy Mellon; his brother Ronald Kirk; his eleven grandchildren; his eleven great grandchildren.
