In Loving Memory of Jonell Eulalia Davis (Age 24) of San Bernardino, California.

Jonell, lovingly known as Nell, tragically departed this life on Monday, April 30th, 2012. She was granted her angel wings as God called her home knowing that her work here on earth was done.

Jonell's life would seem way too short to many, but those who were touched by her knew the quality of her existence far exceeds the time she spent with any of us. Her smile, laughter and love, is and will always be, unforgettable. She loved riding dirt bikes, skateboards, rip sticks, driving big dump trucks with her step father, and playing all kinds of sports with the support of her two biggest fans, cousins Javontae and Justin. Nell also loved spending time and talking to her two best girlfriends Aysha Powell and India Buchanan.

Jonell met the love of her life Chazarey Davis in her junior year at Lackey High School, from which she graduated in June of 2006. Nell attended College of Southern Maryland and received her GNA license in May of 2008. She went on to work in the Nursing field at Charles County Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Chazarey won Jonell's heart and they had an incredible friendship. He was her everything and she was his. They married on November 24, 2008 and shared a very supportive life together. Chazarey joined the Army and Jonell happily accompanied him to Fort Irwin Army Base in San Bernardino, California. While being station at Fort Irwin, Jonell continued college to pursue her degree in Radiology.

Amidst all the sports activities that Jonell participated in, and she was a sports fanatic, (being the first female football player of the Indian Head Braves), but above all, she especially loved basketball. Her most recent sports activities were trying out for the LA Sparks of the WNBA and a team in North Carolina where she could have possibly played with an overseas team.

Jonell had a very loving upbringing being surrounded by so much family. She enjoyed both sides very much, the Proctors and the Johnsons, both of which she spent much time. She was spoiled by many because she had such a loving spirit about her and always smiled, smiled, smiled!

She is preceded in death by her grandfather William Johnson and uncle Lynell Dade.

Jonell is survived by her husband, Chazarey Davis; parents Joy Proctor and Guy Johnson; step father Herman Washington; brother Antoine Washington (Jazmine); step brothers Delante Washington and Teraz Johnson; grandparents Shirley and Conrad Proctor and Mamie Johnson; aunts Tywanda Proctor, Corlette Dade, and Terrey Johnson; uncles Charles (Althea) and Shawn Proctor, and Edward Johnson (Rita); her mother and father-in-law Joy and Guy Mitchell and father and mother-in-law Gregory, Sr. and Pamela Davis; brothers-in-law Gregory Jr., Joseph and Joshua Davis ; niece Jasiah; and she leaves to cherish her memory a host of many other family members and friends too many to mention and her beautiful dog Gucci.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 10th from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. and funeral service from 11 a.m.to 12 p.m.in the Chapel of THORNTON Funeral Home, P.A., 3439 Livingston Road, Indian Head, MD. Interment will be at the Maryland Veterans Cemetery, Cheltenham, MD.
