Our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, called our beloved Richard Thomas Gray, affectionately known as "Dickie," to his final resting place on June 28, 2007. Richard was born to the late Archie and the late Ella Gray on July 9, 1941 in McConchie, Maryland.

He attended public school in Charles County, Maryland. He retired from Silver Hill Sand and Gravel Company. After becoming restless, he took a management position at the Hangar Club. Dickie loved to travel to Atlantic City, New Jersey and Dover Downs, Delaware.

He was preceded in death by his brother James and two sisters, Shirley Gray and Veronica Blair. He leaves to cherish his memory two daughters, Doris Brown and Veronica McKinney; three brothers, John (Erma), Austin, Lenard (Sheila); five sisters, Betty Johnson (Robert), Tilly Lee (Roger), Lorraine Boyce (Leon), Ruth Gross (Chester), Grace Bivens (John); five grandchildren, Channing, Larry, Chere', Chyna, and Charles; a loving companion of 14 years, Margaret Green; best friend and coworker of 24 years Patricia Troese; a devoted friend, John Mason, and a host of other family and friends.

His viewing will be held on Friday, July 6th, 9:00a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial 10:00a.m. at St. Catherine's Catholic Church, Rte. 6, McConchie, Maryland. Interment Church Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Thornton Funeral Home, P.A., Indian Head, MD.
